K-ACTE will be presenting awards to winners at breakfast on July 29th, 2024 at our Annual Summer Conference. Kansas is conducting a statewide search for excellence in career and technical education (CTE) to highlight outstanding educators as part of our annual awards program. We are seeking nominations from all divisions, positions, and content areas this year for the following awards:


 • Kansas ACTE Teacher of the Year recognizes the finest career and technical teachers at the middle/secondary school level who have demonstrated innovation in the classroom, commitment to their students and dedication to the improvement of CTE in their institutions and communities.

Kansas ACTE Postsecondary Professional of the Year recognizes the finest career and technical professionals at the postsecondary level who have demonstrated innovation in the classroom, commitment to their students and dedication to the improvement of CTE in their institutions and communities.

Kansas ACTE New Teacher of the Year recognizes new CTE teachers who have made significant contributions toward innovative and unique career and technical education programs and shown a professional commitment early in their careers.

Kansas ACTE Teacher Educator of the Year recognizes teacher educators who have demonstrated innovation in teacher education, leadership in improving CTE, and commitment to preparing teachers to deliver high quality CTE programs.

• Kansas ACTE Administrator of the Year
recognizes administrative CTE professionals at the school, district, county, state or federal level who have demonstrated leadership in ensuring teacher and student success and have made significant contributions toward innovative, unique and effective career and technical education programs.

• Kansas ACTE Counseling and Career Development Professional Award recognizes school counselors and career development professionals who have demonstrated commitment to connecting students with opportunities for success, shown innovation in career exploration and development, and have advocated for CTE as a viable option for all students.

• Kansas ACTE Carl Perkins Community Service Award recognizes individuals who have used CTE to make a significant impact on their community and demonstrated leadership in programs and activities that promote student involvement in community service.

• Kansas ACTE Lifetime Achievement Award recognizes CTE professionals for their leadership on behalf of ACTE, their innovations in CTE and their contributions to the field over an extended period of time.  



Deserving candidates for these awards have demonstrated their commitment to CTE through their innovation, accomplishments, and contributions to the CTE community.

Applications Are OPEN at the link below. Applications are due June 1st to considered for this round of awards.

Award recipients will then be judged, and Kansas ACTE award winners will have their nominations forwarded on to be considered for the ACTE Region Awards.
